2011 IEEE-IAS/PCA 52nd
Cement Industry Technical Conference

Welcome to the 52nd Cement Industry
Technical Conference Website

Welcome to Colorado Springs and the Rocky Mountains

Your Colorado Springs Conference Committee is excited to welcome you to the 2010 Cement Industry Technical Conference.

In addition to the normal technical challenges we face in our industry, the pending climate change legislation and NESHAP rules raise the bar on what we need to do. We know that the best intentions of the new legislation and rules will only become reality through science, engineering, hard work, and lots of capital investment by cement companies. The program at our 2010 Conference will help us all get there successfully.

The conference program will be vital to your company's success in this challenging business environment. The special tutorials will offer in-depth study of several critical technical issues. Building on the success of our 2009 Conference, we are adding an expanded agenda including a new session on Environment, Energy and Sustainability, in addition to the five traditional sessions (General Practices, Power, Drives, Automation and Maintenance and Safety). To cap off the conference, this year's plant tour will be at GCC's new Pueblo Plant, located just south of Pueblo, Colorado.

In 2010, we will continue the highly rated Environmental Workshop to keep you informed about the latest issues in this rapidly changing arena, and the latest economic outlook from PCA Chief Economist Ed Sullivan. We're also extremely pleased to welcome Gov. Bill Ritter as our keynote speaker. Finally, Colorado Springs will feature the best vendor exhibition venue ever, with 60,000 square feet of vendor space available.

This is a must-attend conference for the cement industry. We look forward to seeing you March 28 through April 1, 2010 at the 52nd IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Sincerely,

Steve Zellmer
2010 Committee Chairman
