Remember to mark your calendar for the IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference which will take place near Miami, Florida, May 18 through May 22, 2008.

The 2008 conference in Miami will offer interesting and educational tutorials as well as informative technical papers. A great plant tour is planned for Thursday May 22, 2008 at Titan America's Pennsuco facility. In addition to touring the cement plant, Titan invites you to tour their quarry to see mining the South Florida way, from below the water table. After seeing the plant you will be able to tour the block manufacturing facility, one of the largest in the States. The cement plant was commissioned in 2004 having the latest state-of-the-art process equipment handling some difficult high silica raw materials.

And don't forget to allow time to enjoy the Miami area. The downtown area pulsates with activity as cultural and leisure pursuits come together. Enjoy the Miami skyscrapers but don't miss the historic shopping arcades and storefronts evoking Miami's origins as a trading town. The stores and emporiums offer big city shopping with a cosmopolitan flair, while Downtown Miami's diversity inspires dining delights in a variety of culinary styles. And when you can go no more just relax on the miles and miles of beaches beckoning sun seekers from around the globe.
